I'm Geovany Hernandez, a product designer from Tegucigalpa, Honduras, who is fascinated by the stories behind every click, tap, and swipe. Ever since I can remember, I've been drawn toward rational and analytical fields, so I really never considered pursuing a career in design. However, through sketching logos for high school clubs and creating websites in computer class, design slowly sneaked into my life.
I started college as a Computer Science major with a minor in Web Development. Part of the minor's curriculum included some freshman-level graphic design courses, which quickly revealed another side of me. My teachers encouraged me to explore my artistic talent in a deeper way by switching to Graphic Design, and after my sophomore year, God made it clear that I should study design.
It was exciting to learn about UX/UI design in 2022 since it combines my artistic and analytical skills, enabling me to navigate challenging problems and design intuitive, human-centered experiences. My design philosophy is centered on accessibility and simplicity, inspired by Dieter Rams' "Less is more" philosophy and guided by my faith. I view design as a way to serve people, with every interaction driven by the question: How might this product make someone's day more enjoyable, easier, or more satisfying?
