The Jade Road Marathon

Challenge:
Design a cohesive set of advertising elements for a self-defined event, creating a compelling visual identity that could attract participants and communicate a clear, memorable narrative. The goal was to move beyond generic race promotion and instead craft a brand experience that feels immersive, distinctive, and culturally grounded—capable of standing out across both digital and physical environments.

Strategy:
Built a flexible visual system around a “Neo-Ancestral Energy” approach. The system is driven by three core visual pillars: Motion & Texture, Bold Typography, and Iconic Symbolism. A high-contrast palette of jade greens, deep blacks, and white typography reinforces visibility and energy, while layered gradients and motion blur effects evoke speed and endurance. This approach ensured adaptability across multiple advertising formats, from large-scale posters to wearable assets.

Creative Execution:
Designed a full suite of advertising and event assets, including posters, digital billboards, race bibs, apparel, medals, and promotional graphics. The visual language blends gritty textures with clean typographic hierarchy, creating a balance between raw athletic intensity and polished branding. The jade-inspired mask motif serves as a central icon, symbolizing achievement and cultural depth, while dynamic compositions and motion-driven layouts bring energy to both static and environmental applications.
