Digital Spaces
Challenge:
Design and produce a comprehensive print publication exploring contemporary user interface design, taking the project through the complete professional printing process from initial concept to final bound book.
Strategy:
Created "Digital Spaces" as a structured examination of modern UI/UX principles, using the rigor of print design to analyze digital experiences. Developed a systematic grid-based layout that mirrors the organized, modular nature of interface design itself, creating a visual parallel between the book's structure and its subject matter.
Creative Execution:
Designed a complete 30+ page publication featuring a pixelated retro-computer cover that bridges digital and analog design eras. Implemented a strict modular grid system throughout interior spreads, organizing complex case studies—including e-commerce apps, Nike's pricing strategies, and sizing chart implementations—into clean, scannable layouts. Used strategic typography with a pixelated display font for section headers and clear sans-serif body copy to maintain readability. Incorporated visual libraries and screenshots as documentation elements, treating digital interfaces as specimens worthy of academic study. Managed the full production workflow including color calibration, paper selection, and professional binding to ensure the final printed piece met publication-quality standards.
